Research Interests

1. Neural circuitry of perception and cognition, and relevant brain disease such as epilepsy, pain, addiction, tolerance and neurodegenerative disease.

2. Development of new neurochemical techniques such as Single-Cell Mass Spectrometry, Single-Organelle Mass Spectrometry and Brain Mass Spectrometry Imaging.

3. Metabolomics study and early diagnosis biomarkers screening in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease using newly developed Mass Spectrometry technologies.

4. Physiological function of ligand-gated ion channels such as glycine receptor and GABAA receptor in brain disorders (pain, epilepsy and neurodegenerative disease).
